The incident comes days after the sensational murder of Saurabh Rajput, whose body was sealed in a drum with cement by his wife and her lover in Meerut.
A woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut allegedly threatened to cut her husband into pieces and seal him in a drum if he did not change his behaviour, The Times of India reported.
The incident comes days after the sensational murder of a merchant navy officer, Saurabh Rajput (29), who was hacked to death and sealed in a drum with cement by his wife Muskaan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla in Meerut. Both the accused have been lodged in Chaudhary Charan Singh district jail since March 19 after a court sent the duo to judicial custody for 14 days.

Police said the man, identified as Bablu Kumar, is an alcoholic. The incident was reported from Meerut’s Kanker Khera region when a Kumar approached the local police station after the alleged threat from his wife, the report said.
According to TOI, the couple, married for five years with two children, had a troubled relationship due to Kumar’s addiction to alcohol. The couple had an argument on Sunday night when Kumar was intoxicated, during which his hand was allegedly bitten.

In an unverified video circulating on social media, Kumar claims that his wife threatened to hit him with a brick after he woke up late the next morning.
After this, he claimed that his wife hit him with a brick, causing injuries and threatened to chop him into pieces and seal his body in a drum. “When I left home to complain to the police, she reached there before me, and no one paid heed to my grievances,” Kumar alleged.

Station House Officer (SHO) Vinay Kumar said that the couple left the police station after reaching a compromise and did not prefer to register a complaint. The woman accused Kumar of wasting money on alcohol by neglecting household expenses.
